INTERNSHIP AS A SENIOR AT HIGHSCHOOL

My uncle is a regional head of a multinational company - consider Bangladesh/India

he has said he will land me an internship in the summers before college at a local investment bank

I will have to travel to the aforementioned country for that (but that's not a problem)

is it worth it?

and any tips on what else should I do in my summer before college except for a modelling course

If you want to do it for fun or spend time in that country, feel free. But high school internships (and especially those not in the US) mean absolutely nothing for college internship recruiting. You're better off getting something in the US, doesn't even need to be banking, after freshman year or fall of your sophomore year.

Don't do the modeling course either, that's something to do during freshman spring if you really want to, but not even needed for recruiting. Enjoy your free time now.

Dude, go do stupid shit with your friends. The summer going into college, I worked as a camp counselor and it was one of the most fun summers of my life (spending all day outside, no real responsibility, going out 4-5 nights a week, etc.). You will have plenty of time to work - please don't ruin this summer for yourself as it will be one of the last times you will be truly 'free' for an extended period of time.
