Internship Opportunities - Small or big company?
I have two possible internship opportunities for this summer. One opportunity at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management (In Miami...Possibly new york if I get lucky), the other at Comgest SA Paris, an "international Asset Management group with global headquarters in Paris", with about 51-200 employees.
I feel like at Merrill Lynch I risk being just another intern, and will not gain any real experience as opposed to the opportunity in Paris. This is based on the assumption that at Comgest, due to the smaller size I will be given more insightful tasks and will be able to interact more with employees.
Any advice on which opportunity I should go for?
I'd personally take the internship at Comgest. It seems like literally every freshman/sophomore does PWM at Merrill Lynch these days, so having that internship is nothing special. Might as well spend the summer in Paris while you have the chance.
