Interview and previous summer
Sorry to create a new thread but the last one was getting a bit confusing with a few people asking questions.
This summer I had a dead end summer research internship. In the other thread people said I should work on selling the bigger picture well which I understand.
What I'm wondering now is how much attention is going to be paid on this? Will I be in the clear if I have my short explanation down or is it going to come up as a significant part of every interview potentially putting me in an awkward position as to what I actually did (excel monkey) every time? Like I said I go to a target and have competitive grades and extracurrics so it's not like this internship is a big focal point of my resume.
I'm sure this sounds like overkill but I'm just trying to get an idea of what to be prepared for so I can have my story mapped out. Thanks!
the summer job i did the two summers before applying for a banking internship had nothing to do with finance and was mostly a mind numbing tedious job. There were a few positive aspects of this job that were the things I talked about when asked about the job in interviews. My job was way worse than yours and it was never a problem. I think as long as you have some good things to say about the job when asked about it, you should be fine
