Interview Help - One of the most asked questions

One of the most asked question in an interview is tell me about yourself/walk me through your resume. I'm having trouble starting this question. Should I state my class year, major, etc or how I got interested in finance or my first internship experience???? How do you guys start it?

Generally, start with a top down approach. Lead off with what comes first on your resume - for most U Grad students it will be Education, then cover your education section - awards, major, why you chose the school, etc. Next go into work experience or ECs (based on what is next in your resume), and cover that section from oldest resume entry to newest, and so forth. If you have some work experience and ECs, that should take up the rest of the time for the question - you usually don't have to go into the filler part of your resume - languages, comp skills, hobbies, etc.

For more info, check this out. I recently put out an article on this very topic that has gotten some good feedback. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
