Interview Question (being open to other departments)

Currently interviewing for an internship at a large firm (think CBRE, C&W, JLL). I want to join a specific unit within capital markets, but I would be open to other departments/areas as well. Is that ok to say in the interview, or does that make me sound like I'm too scattered/unfocused? Honestly I'm just looking for as much exposure to the real estate industry as possible this summer. The department I'm most interested in working in is the hardest to get into (I would assume), but that's not driving my choice really.

The capital markets groups are usually pretty siloed by product type, so if you are interviewing with a specific group then you of course express your 100% commitment and desire to working on that team. If your interview is with some generic HR person AND they ask you, then talk about teams you'd be interested in working on. You don't want to interview with the VP on the industrial team and be talking about how much you want to sell malls. Just don't be an idiot and you should be ok.
