Interview study seeking participants in finance careers

Hi everyone,

I am posting here on behalf of a study at The City University of New York—Graduate Center that looks at the career pathways of high-skilled professionals from working-class immigrant families. We are currently looking to interview NYC-based professionals of corporate financial business who are of Dominican, Mexican, and Turkish descent. We would like to learn about the factors shaping your career trajectory (ex. family, education, professional and social network), as well as the ways in which you come to influence today’s society.

We very much appreciate a chance to interview you if you are:
1) working in NYC in professional and managerial positions of corporate financial business (we are also looking for participants from corporate law and education);
2) of Dominican, Mexican, and Turkish descent;
3) the US-born children of working-class immigrant parents (e.g., with less than a college education), or if you are foreign-born and came to the US by the age of 5;
4) living in the NYC area;
5) aged 50 or younger.

Participation involves one interview (about one hour long). Interview data will be anonymized.
Please contact Yi Chen ([email protected]) if interested.

Also if you have any suggestions on how we could reach out to potential candidates, we’d appreciate them as well. Thank you very much!
