Interviewing while being in an internship, should I be honest?

I am currently doing an internship and am applying parallelly for my first IB off cycle internship for 2018 January.

What should I say as an excuse to go to the interviews (also considering that I am just doing 10 weeks here so missing 2 - 3 days is kinda huge?)

Can I be totally honest and say that I am interviewing for my next internship?

Depends. Is your internship in the financial industry, or at another investment bank? If its at another bank, I would highly recommend not to tell them, as its an indirect insult to your current employer. If its something thats not in the industry, or say a buyside firm that you think your employers will respect your decision, then thats fine. Judge the situation as always; are your seniors relaxed and easygoing, or vice versa?

Just plan your day around it, schedule your interview early in the morning and say you have a doctors appointment and go in an hour or two late. Schedule your interview for late afternoon and say you have an appointment or school related function and must leave an hour or two early. Just try not to schedule for midday. Don't overthink this kind of stuff.
