Introduced to a Prince
This is solely an opinion post, but recently someone came up to me and introduced themselves as the Prince of XYZ (Middle-East), they were by no means one of those wealthy Saudi's living in Dubai, because he belonged to a family that just ruled a large tribal land, so he's mainly more of a upper-middle class American (speaks english perfectly, and doesn't look foreign).
He gave me his contact information though and he's also peculiarly looking to break into Wall Street (young guy in college).
Point of the post is:
1) What utilization is there to this strange situation?
2) What would you do if this happened to you?
3) Is it even appropriate for this guy to introduce himself like this? Should I tell him that might set people off, if that's your opinion?
4) Will he be able to break in easier with that title?
I mainly just thought it was an interesting experience.

There are lots of princes in the mid east. Nothing particularly special unless they're high up on the royalty chain. Also nothing wrong with them presenting themselves like that, it's a title they own. Being a prince, regardless of how rich or high-status that makes him, will probably give him a leg up in a lot of things.
Ya, the saudi royal family has like, 5000 members. Its not particularly special.
Depends a lot on how much money his family has been able to embezzle from their people/oil resources/land. Just like any other modern princeling/principality/kingdom etc. I know of one prince through some people, and the prince is an md at an i bank, so he was able to leverage his background, though that family was deposed. Main thing though is that they were able to embezzle a lot before they got thrown out of the country.
Does anyone keep track of all those people?!
He's not a Saudi though, that's the strange thing.

There are probably plenty of people out there who keep track. Im sure the family does, but frankly, I dont doubt that there are plenty of illegitimate heirs, and that people could make stuff up or kinda tell half truths about their families lineage. But these kingdoms are like, hundreds of years old, and those guys can have dozens of wives. So the lines can get pretty big.
