Introduction - Escaping the Rust Belt and Non Target School for a High Finance Dream
Thanks for reading. I'll keep it short.
Went to a non target school, finance major, got involved with a socially responsible investment portfolio and realized equity research is a passion of mine. Understanding where the industry is headed from a supply and demand standpoint, I realized I need to develop out other skills in a similar vein to keep providing marketable value (fixed income is an interest as well).
Interned with a private wealth management firm, signed full time and will be spending ~4 years in total there, with 2 in the investment department.
Starting CFA Level 1 in August '19, ideally move to Chicago/Boston in 2 years, once lease in Pittsburgh ends.
All ideas/tips/snide remarks welcome.
