Since it is an introductory call, I would assume that they just want to get to know a little more about you and your interest in the position so that they can see whether you would be a fit for the company.

How were you reached out to by a firm? Usually I would assume that you would reach out to a firm and then an introductory call is scheduled where the aforementioned topics are covered.

 

Private Wealth Advisor = sell financial products to individuals Investment Banker = advise companies on capital markets and M&A activity

Different job functions... it would never be both PWM/IBD. It sounds like something meant to deceive someone, unless you know the company is legitimate. In the U.S., you would research their FINRA registration to make sure they are legit
