Investment banking as a CS student

Hi there, I am computing science penultimate student and recently I rejected few software engineering intern role because I want to pursue Investment banking as a career. I want to prepare myself with all the training courses needed for getting into this field but  I am not sure about it and little worried about job after graduation as only a year is left for me to graduate. I'm being paranoid of failing as an investment banker but I really want to do it. Can anyone suggest me here?

Lol why would you rather do IB than SWE? Unless you can't code to save your life. Anyway, back to your question.... I feel it would be easier to join a BB as a SWE analyst then switch internally than straight up joining as an IB analyst with a CS degree.

Not attacking you. There are a lot of cs majors in banking (being a cs won’t affect you if anything it helps). It is much easier to break in from undergrad than trying to internally transfer (will take longer too). Op is a bit behind though and trying to recruit for ft without much experience or knowledge might be an issue but he still has time to get up to speed.
