Investment Banking Financial Models

Hi guys, I was wondering if someone could give me examples of financial models used on the sell-side. Clearly it is the 3-statement typically. But are there are other parts to it that are important to understand / ancillary pieces e.g. layering on debt, management returns etc. that i need to be aware of?

Also when these are being built - how granular are they? For example, on the cost side of the P&L, do we model out employee-by-employee costs, type of raw materials (for relevant industry) or are cost lines projected at a more high level. Or a mix? Would be really good to get a good an example / explanation of one that an analyst has built.
