Investment Banking SA Interview Python/Coding question
I would be interested if anyone of you claimed that you are familiar (intermediate and above) in a programming language and were asked about it during IB summer analyst interviews (not for engineering positions).
I started learning Python during this pandemic and I am somewhere between beginner and intermediate level. I am wondering if I put Intermediate level, will I be grilled on it?
Thanks in advanced for all answers.
Unlikely.
However, I may ask you to write a basic “for loop” to iterate over model cases to update my sticky ifs.
Thanks for the help.
Computer Science, Math, and Data Science major here. Have never been asked anything remotely related to coding. The only non-finance relates technical I was asked was to multiply two semi-large two digit numbers in my head by a non-BB bank. I've gotten offers in the quant space and I got asked coding questions though (of course).
