Investment Management/Am I on the right track?
Hello,
I am now a rising junior who's currently working as an wealth management intern in New York City, and I was wondering what Investment Management divisions look for when it comes to 1st round interview applications.
I don't know if I am asking the right question here, but I have kinda lost at the moment.
Background wise, I am currently attending NYU (Not Stern though Economics Major) and have a GPA of about 3.2. For experience, I am currently working at bulge bracket investment bank(PWM intern), and have worked at real estate, recruiting firm, small tutoring firm(marketing), as well as NFP organization.
I do know that my GPA is the biggest threat but I would like to know what I should do in order to make myself get ready for upcoming recruiting process.
I would also like to mention that my boss is willing to write me a letter of recommendation and I can use his name on "referred" while applying to another division within the same company. In addition, he will be submitting online referral for me as well.
I probably know this answer the best, but... IB is completely out of reach for me since my GPA is terrible correct?
