Investment Pitch

Over the last 3 years I have developed a systematic L/S strategy that has continuously generated alpha and is ready to put into production at an institutional level. Strategy is both scalable and repeatable. It is a relative value strategy that also incorporates options to exploit small but more certain inefficiencies (or what the strategy deems inefficient). I have a brokerage account to back up success however I am looking to bring this to the next level. I have back tested individual securities but am looking for another means to back test the entire strategy. Without giving away specifics how would you go about back testing the strategy or should I hire a programmer? Where can one find historical option data? How could this be presented to a hedge fund or prop shop? Which one would you prefer and why? Would you recommend using headhunters or just cold calling / emailing investment professionals? Mostly interested in how one would get this to the next level and in front of someone. Thanks in advance.
