Investment Talent Programme NBIM
Anyone with experience or knowledge about the Norges Bank Investment Managements graduate program, Investment Talent Programme?
I am considering applying but have heard that the program is really bad, is that true, anyone? Read a link from previous years on this forum, just wondering if there is some more recent knowledge?
According to an article in the Norwegian daily they had 900 applications last year and only picked 7 or 8 I think. However one of my mates told me that more than 50% of applications are from foreigners but that in the end they only look at applications from Norwegians, so I guess in that sense it should be easy to get a job there.
I think you have a fair point, one of my colleagues that used to work there would not recommend it, he told me that all the guys on that program leave as fast as possible after the program finishes due to dissatisfaction over the program and some of the people higher up. In that sense I think you are better of getting in somewhere that is known for having a good grad scheme.
Good luck with your applications, would check out glassdoor (dot) com for any organisations you may consider.
I have heard similar things from friends who joined the program. Would probably speak to some people there to get a better picture. Glass door reviews are mixed.
You can try even more better programs as it is something which people never prefer more.
