Investor Relations Modeling Tests?

Currently helping a friend who is recruiting for IR jobs at PE shops after a few years in ECM at a BB. She's come across some jobs where there is a mention of a potential modeling test. Has anyone heard of modeling tests for IR positions? What would typically be involved in that?
