Invisalign and Investment Banking
I am going to get invisalign just before my 2nd year of uni, in my 3rd year I will be doing a placement so I am wondering, for those who have had it, who did you get to your appointments as they'd be in the week days for me. Did your employer allow you to miss work for a couple hours? I would have to come back to my home town which would probably for an hour and half train journey if I hopefully end up in London.
no you have to stay chained to your desk and the dentist comes to the office
lol come on man
tell your employer the good news and he will be overjoyed and let you skip work for improvement of your office. Will make you look more client friendly and good to look at so he doesn't have eto look at bad teeth. Props to you!
So they would be fine with it? I just though that they wouldn't be impressed and think that I'd just skip a day of work or something/
if you’re a candidate for Invisalign, chances are your teeth don’t require major adjustments (otherwise standard braces would be a much better option). I had weekly trays over the course of 9 months and only saw the dentist for the initial consult and to get the “attachments” put on my teeth for rotations. Why do you think you’d need to see your dentist / ortho more than that?
As I have seen that people are usually on it for a year and a half?
not unless u wanna be bottom bucket and laid off
Wdym
You have to take advantage of what you are given. Your MDs will not make you get lower bucket because they found out you got Invisaling
Guess I'll just have to work hard and earn the mornings off I guess
My orthodontist just mailed me the Invisalign and did video calls. He didn't really make me go into the office or anything. It was way more chill than braces
How did he check they were working? And whether the ones he was mailing were gonna work?
The video calls... he could see if they were closing the gaps correctly. I went to his office like once every three appointments just to be safe, but everything worked perfectly. Also, all of the invisalign are pre-made at the very beginning of the process.
I’m a first year analyst and have Invisalign. I started around January, sort of perfect timing with COVID so it’s been easy to keep it in all day. With that said, the way my appointments work is that I go in-person every sets of aligners (8 weeks). I set the appointment for 8am and it usually takes about 20 minutes. The orthodontist just takes a peak to confirm progress, make sure the aligners are fitting right, maybe give you a new supply of rubber bands if needed, etc. i can easily make it to my desk by 9:30a. Hope this helps for context.
