Nobody cares or asks about ACT scores.
A lot of apps do ask, but it's probably not important.
I've had a few applications ask for my SAT/ACT scores, but there are not very many companies that care much about them. So long as they are decent, you're fine, which is what it seems like based on your post.
Isn't a perfect score 36? If so, how could a 35 possibly not be good enough? You're in the top 1% of the world with that score.
this person obviously is just looking for validation online, they know that its a good score
No their science score sucks ass so their actual overall ACT is nowhere near a 35
What do you want to do? Wall Street is a big place. Do you want be a quant? Do you want to be in S&T? IB? Are you a virgin? Your test scores tell me nothing. If you're in HS then your test scores are applicable into getting into a good college. I was able to land a SA role for a "Wall Street" firm and my act math score was low. Not braindead low but low that I didn't even use it for college apps. If I was able to do it then by all means you are more than qualified to landing a role. I aimed for BB's and not one asked me for my ACT score.
My bad. I meant for IB. I understand that IB is not too math intensive compared to other divisions, I just wanted to see if it's good enough. I read through a thread last week, where people were shitting on someone for getting a 2100/2400 on their sat from a few years ago, so I just wanted to see if this is good enough. I also read a few months ago that some banks still ask for high school scores, so I wanted to make sure.
Depends. First off, your composite score is what usually matters, and honestly math should be a 36 but 35 is fine. A 33 is a level where you should be fine, but likely wont help you either. For banking, they wont even ask, but for buyside seats from undergrad they often ask. If youre in HS still, would shoot for a 34/35. Will also help you for college admissions
Making a PowerPoint deck has nothing to do with math. Hustle and you will be fine.
teach me your ways
No one will seriously consider you if you don’t get a 36 in Math
Fuck
Only times I've been asked about my test scores were on a couple applications and an interview at a hedge fund out of undergrad. The PM asked for my SAT scores per section as he was writing them down.
PM: "What was the math score?"
Me: "770"
PM: "What was the reading?"
Me: "560"
*This guy pauses, stops writing, and looks up*
PM: "You don't comprehend well?"
Me: "Not at the time"
He just laughed and moved on. I had accepted my sell side offer during this interview process, but this PM made it clear to me they were intending on having me continue with the process had I not ended it early. Told me to circle back with them in 6-12 months. The point I'm trying to make is that your test scores really don't matter after you get into the undergrad school you want to go to. You don't have to list it on your resume for IB gigs, so it's really not a big deal that you scored a 35 instead of a 36. Just be personable during interviews and get people to like you and you'll be just fine. Getting the gig will be as much about passing the airport test as it will be assessing your overall comprehension levels. You're gonna be spending the majority of your waking hours with your co-workers in IB, so the last thing they'll want is a kid who's no fun to be around
Got asked something similar. Instead of saying my low reading score. I just said, "Not as high as my Math score and gave a hearty chuckle". Interview jsut kep going and I ended up getting the job.
.
Chill out. Enjoy high school (assuming that you’re still in high school) while you’re still young.
Please get off the phone, get out of the restroom, and go back to AP US History class you fucking high schooler, and stop bothering us with this crap.
