Is a two week internship too short?
I'm currently in the middle of a VC internship which is to last 1 month with the option to extend to 6 or 8 weeks.
I am currently considering reducing my internship to two weeks. For the following reasons:
-I need time to focus on my GRE for my masters
-If i do a masters after undergrad that would hold more weight than undergrad internships for jobs
-I already have two undergrad interneships under my belt, one already being VC
-I plan on finishing the Wall Street Prep course if I end my interneship early
-Alright the last reason is kinda lame but it'll probably be my last free summer and I kind of want to enjoy it and recuperate for next year (engineering is draining)
I am just wondering if doing this would disadvantage me for masters or anything else later on? Is two weeks way too short? I plan on doing a masters in finance or financial engineering.
Are you really even going to get anything meaningful done in two weeks that you can put on your resume?
I would hesitate putting it on your resume if its even less than 8 weeks. Go all in for the extension or cut it off and don't put it on your resume. But do you really need the extra time to study for the GREs?
