Is America the most optimal place to be an investment banker?

Business Insider claims that European banks are losing to American ones, a difference most pronounced in fixed income trading, equities trading, and investment banking. I believe that the United States may indeed serve as the optimal place to be an investment banker, given the graphs that depict European investment banks with declining market share and 10% down from American investment banks.
