born middle/lower middle, I have a strong dislike for both.

I feel like I'm on an island. no one wants fiscal conservatism (not during a crisis, but don't cut taxes during a boom fucktard), no leaders I've seen practice extreme ownership, no one wants to talk to the other side, I could go on.

I feel like a lot of people share my views, and often times just make concessions at the ballot box, picking the lesser of two perceived evils rather than a desirable candidate

plenty of pro-trumpers here. wait for the silent majority in November.

I don’t care for him, but would you have rather had Hilary as president? Brofessor said it best when it’s become choosing a lesser of two evils. I have a feeling that’s the way it’s going to be going forward, which is unfortunate for the country. If we had a moderate candidate in 2016, they 100% would be president now.

What I think people don’t realize though, at least in my POV, is that whoever is president doesn’t have THAT much effect on your daily life. People just love having a scapegoat, red or blue, when they can’t look in the mirror and correct what’s right in front of them.

I'm very much a classical liberal, or in American political terms, a moderate "Rockefeller" Republican/Libertarian.

If there were still Bill Clinton like Democrats or even Obama like on some issues, then I wouldn't mind the Democrats. Good news is that some notable Democrats are pretty moderate (even fiscally conservative to some end), but not very vocal. The vocal ones are politically correct radical leftist fools so the Democrats get a bad rep nowadays. But I really f***ing loathe Trump on principle, on a policy level, and on a personal level. Dude's all about "him" and doesn't give two shits about everything else. His policies by themselves align with Paleo-conservatism, which I think is a paranoid, narrow-minded, and backward belief system that should really be a thing of the past like the name suggests.

Trump is short-term mixed and long-term devastating. Biden on the other hand seems short-term mixed and long-term much better than Trump. I disagree with lots of his policies but he seems like the kind of guy who will prioritize doing the "right" thing and will actually listen to people. Much more of a pragmatist than Trump, who is nothing but just an egotist.

That being said, all presidents allowed lots of terrible shit to happen to the economy in some way because that's just what governments do when they spend 40+% of the national GDP when the private sector could clearly do a much better job in majority of current US government functions.

Couldn’t agree more here.

I loathe Trump. Seeing anything about him actually makes me angry.

I’ve always wondered why we can’t get some good candidates on the ballot, that make you wonder which is the better candidate instead of which one isn’t worse.

Jocko vs Mattis vs Mark Cuban type of ballots. I’m obviously biased in who I admire (which is why I’m jaded against politics).

To @brofessor above, extreme ownership is so completely underrated. If someone practiced that principle the world would be in a much better shape.
