Is Finance/Accounting really that easy?
People on this site tend to brag about how the concepts in finance required for AM/IB can be learned "in a few days." Furthermore people mention it is simply "trivial" to be a liberal arts major and work in finance. I'm not finding this to be the case in college. IMO the difficulty of Calc 3 and the Intro finance class at my university are roughly the same. The problems in Calc 3 were slightly harder but had a massive curve compared to the intro finance class with 0 curve. Not to mention the accounting kids I see are intelligent on par with my STEM friends. So what's all the hype about finance and accounting being trivial "easy 3.8+, etc."? I disagree.
