Is fostering animals a lame activity for apps?

Hello all, I am thinking of applying to business and right now don't do much extra cirriculars. I am in PE, and was intending to volunteer more after leaving banking but then COVID hit. So I spent my time honestly working on myself (lost almost 10% body fat, cooked a ton, went to therapy, picked up hobbies like tennis, etc.)

I also volunteered to foster cats, but I asked some people and they said this is a "lame" EC. I was involved in leadership in school, so not sure how that stacks up. Would love to hear people's perspectives on this (esp bschool candidates).

lol i think it's so lame that people only do nice things because they think it will help them progress in the career ladder (via bschool).

Try being a good person just for the sake of it. Rather than pretending
