Is Investing a skill that you can learn or a talent that you are born with?

I am wondering if there are certain natural traits that make you really good or is it something in the thinking process that you learn over time?

If I want to become a good investor (I know that I cannot change my natural traits), then what steps would you recommend I take?

I am a complete noob but really want to hone my investing skills (if thats a possiblity)
