Is it common to be ghosted by recruiters/firms?

I recently got invited to the final round of interviews for an off-cycle internship at Goldman Sachs, normally it would be a superday at their office, but it will isntead be conducted through zoom. They first asked me for my time zone and availability on the 16th and 17th, then delayed it to the 18th and 19th. I responded to both with full availabilty, but haven't gotten any response since. Their last email was a week ago.
Would HR or GS cancel the interviews without notifying me?
I have the number of the HR contact should I call the or just leave it be?

If it's been a week, then you could follow up with HR and explain the context with an open ended statement like "could please advise" or "could you provide some insights" . This hints to the fact you'd like to know if there has been a further delay, the internship has been cancelled, or the interviewers are still trying to agree upon a said time on the 18th or 19th before confirming with you.

hey bro, I am wondering wt happened to you at the end

I'm experiencing exactly the same thing like that right now

They asked for my availability then ghosted for days...
