Is it Ok to report work experience that was done within relatives company

so my situation is that I worked alongside my father over the summer after graduating in real estate...understanding all the strategies they look for when going into a deal and doing the office work...I actually worked under his business partner so that i did actual work...I think that was a really great experience as both my father and his partner are big time real estate pro's and its a big time boom in the real estate industry in India so i really learnt a lot...but i am not sure how an internship role or work experience with ones family is looked upon

^^thanks for the comment...

Basically the reason i wanted to put that down was because I am a freshman so obviously no prior experience, so i guess till i get some relevant experience to put on the resume it would be worth it...(not that it isn't worth anything)..

most freshmen that have experiences on their resumes get it thru some form of connection or another anyway, plus i dont think banks will expect you to have had tremendous responsibilities at your internship as a freshman. now you can use this experience to get you another internship, maybe in finance-related fields if you want to do banking eventually.

definitely, its no shame that you got your job through connections. plenty of people get jobs from family member referrals. you probably dont have to go outright and tell them that its an in-family thing during an interview though. im sure it'll reflect stronger on you if it seems as if you did get it on your own
