Is it okay to like banking?
Fairly new to the job and I actually don't hate it so far. I might even want to stick with it beyond 2 years. Is there something wrong with me? Am I mistaken? Do I just need to do it longer and I will hate it eventually? Or is it okay that it's not that bad for me?
No.
What sort of bank and what sort of role?
I’ve been on the desk for 9 months and I like banking too for the most part.
The only way you would like banking is if you have no self-worth or personal life.
Give it time young one. You will learn to hate hell
Yes I would assume that MD's/D's remotely like their job . Otherwise there isn't much of a justification to put in so many hours.
The only people that make it to MD in banking are actual, clinically diagnosable sociopaths. So, the argument that you shouldn't like banking stands. Again, this assumes you have a functioning anterior insular cortex and have some baseline sense of self-respect.
Hope you enjoy your time in compliance.
yeah I kinda agree with you hahaha my friends hate it too but I actually enjoy it...

Are you a insecure beta that you have to ask others' permission?
Says the kid who is so insecure he has to post anonymously.
No, this is never okay. This is symptom of a baseball sized tumor growing in your rectum. Seek medical attention immediately and swear off of finance for the rest of your professional life
