Is it possible for people that didn't studied neither in the US or the UK to work in a BB in NYC?

If you studied university in any other country aside from the US or the UK, how much harder is for you to work in NYC? Because is quite common for other Europeans to work in London for example, but not sure in NYC. Especially as you are coming from other unis.

i think its impossible to get hired directly without huge family connections and/or the right to work there and you are an absolute god at networking, a few people transfer though from other offices of other countries at the senior level, maybe someone who has experience in another country could get hired directly but they would need to have something distinct, thats just my opinion though

And how hard is to get transferred at senior level? Is all about your performance right? Then you can contact HR to make your change. That would rise your salary I suppose, as NYC bankers make more in general context (is not that I'm asking this just for the money). So if you are an associate at Madrid, Paris, London, or even HongKong, you can transfer to NYC is suppose. Because as you say, just applying directly through careers would be tedious.

i don't have that much knowledge about it so it would be better if I don't give you any wrong advice, but yes a lot of bankers ive spoken to say it's easier to transfer internally specially between bb,another option could be to do a 1 year masters in that country or once you have good experience you can network and apply to other banks there(not sure how this would work out though) a lot of companies have started sponsoring more and more not just banks in general many tech banks etc are starting to sponsor visas now
