Is it possible to break into IB/AM without an undergrad degree in Finance?

What is the most efficient path to get my career on this track? Will I have to do another 4 years of undergrad? Do a Masters and intern? I did some linkedin browsing for different schools and didn't see a lot of hopeful employment data on Msc programs unless the person had a finance undergrad as well. Should I take the CFA or a lower level certification and work my way up somehow?

You absolutely can do finance without a finance or business degree. IB will be tough given lack of finance experience and a sub 3.5 gpa but AM can be in reach

Target places where you have alumni and cast a wide net. Smaller AM firms might be your best bet of breaking in

There’s a reason tons of people from liberal arts schools can do IB with an English, history, or science degree. Biggest thing for you now is to add more financial qualifications on your resume like financial modeling bootcamps, Bloomberg certification, or other related topics. Picking up basic coding skills in say python will help too
