Is it weird to network with your HR?

Title says all. I've always been curious on how HR functions/operates and I am interested in getting to know HR people at my firm. Is coffee chat a regular thing for them as well?

Yes I do understand that this is a dumb question

SirGrayWalrus:
LOL but in all seriousness, is it uncommon for non-HR employees to network with HR employees? Let's say incoming SA wanting to get to know HR as well.

So whats her name...

SirGrayWalrus:
Yes he is. So how should I approach this?

Just be friends and stuff. Its risky starting relationships at work.

Also, never tell anyone on your team that you are 'interested in HR and how it functions and operates'. haha really...
