Is it worth it? - Non-target with a mediocre GPA

I'm from a non target with a mediocre gpa, is it even worth the time to fill out all these online applications on the banks career website? Has anyone had success with just dropping a resume in through the website and not going through your school?

1) Use WSO's search function

2) Network. Do a search for network/networking before you ask what specifically to do.

i have heard rare success stories using online career pages. they happen, but not too often. i'd try to network as much as possible, but if the online portal is all you got, why not give it a shot. i think it is worth the time, even though the odds are heavily against you.

At this point in the recruiting season:

  1. apply to a bank online
  2. go to alumni database or linkedin and request information interviews with as many people as possible at bank
  3. repeat for each bank

Only point in applying is to be in the system so it's easier for people to help you.
