Is IU Kelley a Semi-Target or Non-Target

Hi I will be attending the Kelley school of business this fall as a direct admit. I'm wondering if Kelley is a semi-target without the investment banking workshop. For instance if you place in the capital markets and banking workshop would it be a non target? Additionaly for consulting would those familiar with the industry consider it a semi-target or target by being in one of the consulting workshops? Thanks

Non-target, but one of the better ones. Workshop might be considered a semi, but I can’t really comment on that as it’s just what I’ve heard.

one of the best non-targets, they just get a bad rep here for the same reason that people from RBC compare it to Goldman

non-target in general - the class size for finance (1.1k) and the biz school (2k) is just too fucking huge to be anything but a non-target.

their workshops however are semi-target level. especially IBW and CW. pretty solid numbers across IB and consulting through those workshops.

but you basically have to get into another "school" (i.e. being selected into the small ~70 person cohort each) within IU Kelley to get access to that type of recruiting.

Anything is possible with good networking, but if you're really willing to hustle I suggest transferring to after your first/second year--Notre Dame, WashU, UChicago, Ross, are all better options
