Is Microcap Stocks worth it?

Micro-Cap stocks have misconceptions around investors worldwide. Templeton Emerging Markets Group differ, however, and actually find them a class of assets that more investors should take more seriously.

At Templeton Emerging Markets Group, we believe the EM small-cap space is fertile ground for active managers who can focus on risk management and zero in on long-term growth drivers for the asset class.

I haven't looked too much into Micro-Cap stocks in the past, but now I am definitely going to do my research in it.

What is your guys' experience with Micro-Cap stocks in the past? Do you agree with the idea of Micro-Cap stocks being an overlooked investment?

Johnny Ringo:
All,

I have been speaking with some chums out there and our PAs came up. We each own about 15k in our accounts (don't laugh...its a start) and he has about 5K in various micro cap stocks ( under $200mm market cap). I am a big dividend investor

Was looking to get some feedback from you guys to see what you like in the Micro Cap space and/or if its a waste of time.

Anyone out there to help a F&%Kin monkey out!

Ringo

Eventus stultorum magister.

I don't think it's a waste of time unless you never see your micro cap stocks fluctuate. Surprised that nobody has responded to this.. If i was you i would get an ETF that cover's microcaps to spread the risks. Unless you have a few micro cap companies that you really like. But i would get a micro cap ETF
