is my goal impossible?

Hello everyone,
If you wouldn't mind spending a moment of your time to read my conundrum I would be very appreciative.
I'm looking for the straight answer here. As much as I would love a candy coated one, I'm too tired to deal with that drama. Here is my stats. I'm currently a student at a non-target school (university of Akron) that transferred from a target school (Miami University, at least I think its a target, its top 20 in the nation). Basically, I didn't fit in. So now I'm at Akron U. I am a corporate finance major. I have a 3.6 GPA, work full time with PepsiCo (not related to major), involved in 3 student organizations (SIFE, Delta Sigma Pi, Toast Masters). I also have some networking through Alumni of current Student Orgs and past schools... Currently Im applying to internships that do apply to my major, but no offers yet as the process has only been a week long and simply been interveiws... This being said, can I still get into IB?? any suggestions?
Thank you for your advice, I appreciate it immensely,
Michael

basically, Im just looking for advice. Most of the posts on here don't apply to me because basically, most people had their lives figured out before they went to college, and those who didnt still were smart enough to make their resumes clean and have strong networking. The fact of the matter is, now that I know what I want to do, Im afraid I made that decision too late. If it isn't I was hoping the professionals on this site could give some advice that all of my "college advisers" combined lack. thanks for your response, however it may be.

lol, what?

He's actually not wrong about this. You wouldn't believe how many PMs I get from gunners still in high school wanting me to critique their resumes, ECs, whatever. A large percentage of this site is comprised of people who were running DCFs when everyone else was playing kickball.

are you a junior or senior? if yo'ure a senior, you're screwed other than small boutiques. if you're a junior, you better bust your ass and find a boutique willing to take you on for the summer and network your ass off so you can get interviews for fulltime recruiting.

From one Deltasig to another, you're going to have to work your ass off. Start hitting the phones immediately and contact every IB shop you can find. Honest advice: Focus your efforts on boutiques. Its possible to score a MM/BB gig if you network effectively, but applying online is a complete waste of time coming from a non-target. Once you have the boutique bank on your resume, you have a much stronger and more presentable resume for full-time recruiting in the fall. Even then, a BB opportunity is going to be extremely difficult. Scoring a full time gig at a boutique is nothing to scoff at however. Plenty of people with boutique FT experience go to Top 10 MBA's and then score Associate gigs at BB's. Its a long road, but keep at it.
