Is starting a business a bad idea (duh it is confirmatory thread) ?

I noticed in every industry there is a sucker.

In aviation:

A) Plane manufacturer faces the risks of:

Product liability, recalls, warranties.

I think the Boeing 737 Max crisis is proof of just how scary things can get.

B) The jet fuel provider at an airport is usually run by a cartelized oil company. Prices are in dollars. Most airlines worldwide do not earn in USD.

So they work their ass off in a high headwinds business with ruthless competition only to survive on razor thin margins and face operational cost risk.

In travel industry:

Bus ownership is questionable. The bank loves to finance your vehicle because they take it as collateral. But that means now anyone else can enter the game by putting it up however much buses they buy collateral. This means merciless supply can come into the market depressing the prices of your services as you have to cut rates to keep seats filled.

Warren B said if you're at a card game and you can't tell who the patsy is it's gotta be you. I'm starting to think if you ever get into business and can't figure out who the guy who's really working for the other guy is, you're probably a bit too innocent.
