Is this Analyst role considered Corp Dev or FP&A
I am looking at a Strategic Finance job posting. Position is for a large healthcare company. Says it will involve Strategic Finance/Projects/Treasury/Budgeting/Forecasting and Modeling at the Corporate level. Is this more FP&A, treasury, or M&A/Corp Dev? Posting said ideal candidates would come from banking or consulting
Thanks
Sounds like FP&A.
I think I know this company. They have a bus dev team so it won't be pure M&A.
That being said, they are extremely active so you will probably get opportunities to work on target due diligence and integration projects.
If this position is involved in the strategic planning process I think it would be pretty interesting. Depends on what other opportunities you have at your disposal.
Also they seem to encourage people to have mobility within the company, so if you perform admirably you may have the opportunity to move to M&A. That's purely hearsay though.
Best of luck
Sounds a lot like corp fin. It may include modelling results from acquisitions ("strategic projects") but if it doesn't say that responsibilities include valuation, due diligence, etc. as a part of a transaction, it's likely not corp dev.
Also, treasury, budgeting, and forecasting scream "corp fin" to me.
