Is this normal or did I do something wrong?

A headhunter sent a blast email to our new analyst class at the beginning of october with a relatively short survey that they told us to fill out. Mostly straightforward stuff like which cities, your stats, types of opportunities you're looking at , and then a few random questions like "if your office opened next month, would you definitely go in, need to assess the situation, or not go in". It also said they would send some sort of recruiting guide as a thank you for filling out the survey. Well it's been two weeks and I have not heard from them or received a guide- should I be concerned that I came across poorly in the survey and they don't want to deal with me going forward? For context, this is a reputable HH firm.

I can see a couple places where I might have messed up. In the question that asked "select ALL types of opportunities that may be of interest to you now OR in the future" I put PE, growth capital, and corp dev because I honestly would be interested in learning more about opportunities in all of those areas further down the line. Should I just have selected one to seem more focused?

The second place where I might have messed up was when they were asking the kinda random questions. I assumed they were trying to get a sense of our thought process so I would write a solid few sentences explaining how I arrived at my answer. Do you think I overthought it and was just supposed to answer the question in like a sentence (e.g. Yes, I would go into the office for sure).

Agree with all the above. Sometimes headhunters forget to share feedback post interview (once I asked my HH which time was R2 next day and HH said oh sorry forgot to mention they cancelled as they have hired someone) or forget to add you in a shortlist for a role so you need to chase them - let alone sending you some survey...

A word of advice at this point - don't let weird HH behavior upset you :)

Guessing OP is the one who MS'ed me.

Let me frame it this way for you. Say you did answer that survey "incorrectly" (btw I kind of doubt HHs really pay that close attention to the minutia from my brief interactions...) Could you change anything about that? I say this because I, probably like you, am already putting up with a lot of crap for things I cannot change or control on my day-to-day job (the same job that you have). Do you really sit back and second guess yourself every time? I'm not trying to be rude, but I just don't understand what you're hoping to get out of this thread. Somebody to tell you that everything will be ok?

I can see how you might have interpreted it that way. I am indeed a big boy and know that everything will be okay even if one HH firm doesn't like how I answered a survey. The questions I was essentially asking, and what the other responses were helpful in answering, were (i) if HHs not responding or following through in such a scenario is normal, and if not (ii) whether or not those responses I gave could have been what killed the process for me so I would know not to do them again. I had read that some HH firms were known to be flakey, but since I hadn't heard any negative things about this one in particular I was extra concerned. I really appreciated how the other commenters, who are clearly more experienced/informed than I am and could roll their eyes just as easily at my perceivably "stupid" questions, instead took an informative and reassuring approach. In hindsight, was I overreacting a bit? Yeah. I would like to think most people do that occasionally when they are stressed, tired, and in an unfamiliar situation.

Edit: Even when I see those Prospective Interns post something like "Made typo in my email to HR- is it game over??" I either keep scrolling or answer their question without condescension. I have never understood what people gain by making belittling comments that do nothing to address the content.
