Is UBS hiring IBD SA in London?

I submitted my online application yesterday (this is how it goes in Europe, you have to go through the online app's). I go to a target school, my grades meet the minimum (2:1 or better), I've got positive feedback on my resume from various analysts and I'm pretty sure I did well on their online assessments.

I just got the autoding mail today at 6:59AM London time... Clearly they haven't even had a look at my application/resume/CV...

Are these guys on a complete hiring freeze they aren't even considering new IBD SA candidates for interviews, or is it just me. Is anyone getting interview invites from them?

In that case, I am 80% sure you failed at the online test...lol

Usually banks don't send out rejection letter that fast especially at the summer intern level (if I am not wrong, HR will only look at SA application in Nov / Dec)

Lol, I find that unlikely basically due to the fact that the online test was identical to a few i have done at other BB's (same questions, same answers, I had them double checked, lol) and was not rejected... Maybe there's been a mistake somewhere? There is a possibility that I simply fucked up a couple of answers by mistake...

Wow, lovely arrogance you got going there.

I do not know for sure the circumstances surrounding your rejection but I can assure you that it doesn't take long for someone to review your resume and cover letter. A lot of bankers, myself included, look at a resume for 10 seconds and determine whether it goes into the interview or rejection files. If UBS' HR is efficient, they may have already made a quick judgment on your application...

Fortunately, UBS isn't the only bank out there. You should apply to all the bulge bracket banks in London and keep pushing.

They are not! Can't emphasis this enough.
