It’s not getting any better for Fuld
Looks like his bull$#@% tactics are finally catching up with him. Several top executives of the failed Lehman Brothers Holdings have officially been subpoenaedto testify before three grand juries. Obviously they’re investigating the recent collapse of the investment bank, and word is out that Dick Fuld is most likely on the list. Accusations are that he, among others, made false statements that the firm was in better shape than we now know it was. If this goes all the way and Fuld ends up going to prison, it won’t be his nose he’ll have to protect…..
It'll be interesting to see how things play out here.
No reason for Fuld to even have the chance of going to jail. His firm may have collapsed, but he lost the most money from the ordeal and up until the last earnings report, Lehman seemd to be faring the best
So what do you do? -I work for an investment banking firm. Oh okay; you are like my brother, he works for Edward Jones. -No, a college degree is required in my profession
The government wants a scapegoat, sure he probably made some bad calls but you can't through every CEO of a firm that goes bankrupt in jail
