Ivey non aeo vs UCL

I'm very pissed off that I got rejected for Ivey aeo because I poured my heart and soul into that application I got accepted into western bmos though however, bmos isn't an esteemed program compared to Ivey. I'm contemplating taking up my UCL economics offer to spite Ivey, yet I'd be much happier in North America as I have never been to London before. I'm quite distressed that I've been rejected and it's the only program I applied to in Canada!

Ivey grad here.

Ivey HBA program is approx 1/3 non-aeo (~200 students). Of that 1/3, approx 1/3 are transfer students (~60-70 students that completed min. 2 years at another university), and 2/3 are western non-aeo students (~130-140 students). These are not published stats but this is generally accepted.

As a western non-aeo student, you need a high avg (~85%+ cumulative) plus really strong ECs. If you want to be in NA, go to Western and grind for your first 2 years to get a high average + strong ECs.

If you are going to Ivey to get one of the best jobs (whether it be MBB / BB IB / BB EB / PE), you need ~85%+ cum + really strong ECs anyways, so if you can't get in to Ivey, you wouldn't be able to get a top job.

Hope this helps.

I had the same problem this year but still decided to choose Western BMOS without AEO, if you decided to go to Western I would love to connect
