J. P. Morgan Stopped Responding to Me
I applied to JPM IBD and was contacted on June 6th about a first round phone interview. I was told to give my available hours, so we could find a time that works. I didn’t see it until the morning of the 7th since it was sent out pretty late (at 10:30..? I was sleeping), and I responded at 8:00 am giving my available hours. I haven’t gotten any response since then. Has anyone ever experienced this? I don’t know if I still have the interview anymore, but I really want it because JPM SA is my dream internship.
they flaked on me kind of. terrible communication between HR and the candidates I think.
Have also had similar experiences with JPM
I would reach out to HR or who ever is your point of contact
This sounds perfectly normal to me and nothing to be worried about just yet. Replying to an email sent late at night first thing in the morning is acceptable (at least during recruiting, maybe not once you actually start working).
Understand that it may take a day or two for them to coordinate scheduling on their end before they can get back to you with a confirmed time. Hopefully you offered several dates and times both this week and next week that you would be available to interview. (If you only suggested times for this week, then you can send a follow-up email today providing your availability for next week as well.)
Otherwise, if you don't get a response by Monday/Tuesday, I would suggest following up again offering your availability for the remainder of next week. You didn't do anything wrong here, so just let the process play out and try to be patient.
Thanks! I think my main source of concern was the fact that the original email was asking me for my availability yesterday, today, and over the weekend. So, two of the four days have already passed.
