Jason Wright passes up NFL contract to attend University of Chicago's Booth School of Business

What would you guys have done?

I, personally, would have stayed in the NFL but in least he's doing it for a good cause. I honor that.

Very honorable, but hell no. Pursuing a charter school is something he could be doing well into old age, for another 30 or more years. The door for playing football and earning that much is now closed. Play for a couple more seasons and leave even more financially equipped to crush the charter school industry, don't shut the door early. It's obvious his motivations went beyond money, but that is how I would've gone about it.

By the way, did anyone see how much the guy was making? It's pretty damn crazy someone as mediocre as this guy can make that kind of money. Enough banker bashing... how about athlete bashing!!?

He played 7 seasons, mostly on special teams. Yea he was making a great paycheck, but props to him for moving on with his life.

This guy is an idiot. And I'm honestly kind of offended that some multi millionaire is given a full scholarship to Booth. I mean wtf, doesn't his accepting this kind of money defeat the whole purpose of this spiel about adopting homeless people.

Who cares. Do what you want. The dude played 7 years of pro football and now is going to make himself feel good by building schools or whatever. Not really sure why he needs a booth MBA to do that but whatever.
