JC2 Ventures - Does anyone have experience / information on them?

Hey Monkeys,

Wondering if anyone has worked with / interviewed for JC2 ventures, John Chamber's VC / PE company that seems to focus primarily on a niche tech sector focused on the IoT and Disruptive tech in emerging markets.

What "rank" would this have in the PE and VC space (I don't give a shit about the prestige, just want to know how it is perceived / mobility ops within PE and VC coming from a company similar to it).

Thanks for any insight.

I talked with John at a conference last year. JC2 is basically a one man band (plus his son) and he is investing his own money only. Given how many years and how much money he has you would think he is doing it as a hobby, but he seemed to be at the top of his game and has been aggressively looking for investment opportunities. I don't think he ever gets enough credit for what was an incredibly successful series of acquisitions when he was at Cisco and from what I remember there are some pretty neat companies in his portfolio. Feel free to PM me for more info.
