They have a 2021 FT analyst role open right now. Do you think it would be a decent place to start (would I be in a good position to lateral to a "better" group or bank, or possibly have a decent exit directly from that group)? My end goal is either mm pe or growth equity
Small group with only a couple analysts. Team is senior banker heavy as they own the relationship with the sponsor. Levfin does the heavy lifting on the modeling/technical side.
please go somewhere else and give your advice. Jefferies used to have a bad culture and not saying it’s all rosy now but used to has to be the key word here. There’s a key focus on improving the culture and I think it’s first hand come a long way in the past 4-5 years. Couple that with the success Jeff has seen and continues to see, I think it’s a great place to work at.
OP here. Are you the Analyst 1 from above that already responded to me? If not I would appreciate any insight into the group if you have any. I fully agree with you about your culture point, just wanted to see if it's truly a decent group to be in (experience/exits) or if I'd be better off going to a "lower tier" mm and try to lateral later from there.

Hi, did you end up applying for this FSG analyst program? Hoping to hear some feedback on your experience

Do you know what the exits look like at the analyst level? They have a 2021 FT analyst role open for context
They literally have only 2 analysts or so, so I don't have a sample size on exits.
I would just say stay away from Jefferies unless you really have no option. Toxic AF
Oh yeah let’s see. Hypothetically, if I have an offer from Deloitte Corporate Finance and Jefferies I should go with DCF based on your advice?
