Career Resources
Not sure about Greenhill, but Jefferies and Guggenheim both have excellent Industrials groups. Heard from a friend in a different group at Guggenheim that the culture in Industrials is horrid, his coworker in Industrials said it was the most toxic group he'd ever worked in.
Can confirm about the culture at Gugg. Older sibling is an AS1 at an BB and spent his AN1 at Guggenheim Industrials. Absolutely could not stand the culture there and lateraled as soon as his bonus cleared.
Bad take, I got it...
You received an offer for a group and don’t even know what industry they cover?
Regardless, congrats.
Lol no, the Greenhill offer is generalist, just pointing out that I believe Chicago's deal flow is more Industrials focused.
They really only do industrials. Global head is there and they actually do the execution for some industrial deals originated in other offices
Is Gugg not generalist? I thought they were for some reason. Is it different analyst vs associate?
