JLL Capital Markets Comp
Anyone have any idea what the comp is for investment sales and Debt and Equity Placement in major markets?
Specifically asking about LA, Chicago, NYC, SF
Any help would be much appreciated.

Expect $60-70k base (on the low end for a first year) and $20-40k bonus/commission (this part is dependent on the team). Some teams are extremely strong and can see even more than this.
As a solid baseline, go into negotiations expecting $90k but remember that JLL and CBRE typically pay less due to brand name.
Buddy of mine got offered for LA office, 65k base. Wasn’t quoted bonus figures but he had a friend make 200k+ in his first year (I think this is an outlier but I don’t know the teams). I think the expected is breaking 100k all in

Which market?
Which market if you don’t mind sharing?
anyone have any idea about comp ~5-10 years out in these groups? obv depends based on volume / the person but rough ranges?
$250-300k+ in d/e
seems low
D/E average director comp? Has to be $300k+ I’d imagine?
ya idk the people i’ve talked to said 300k would be the low performers avg 500-600 and high is 1-2. honestly no clue tho
Are these people mostly producing or executing? Ik the directors once they make the transition from associate are mostly executing. Tough to imagine them making $500k+ doing mostly that but suppose it’s possible.
60k base + a bonus that is highly dependent on what team you are on. Any ex-HFF teams are worth it but most aren't.
The big problem at JLL is bullying. I know of at least two people that worked there, who got bullied pretty badly.
Best advice is:
that’s interesting. what are some examples of the guys you know who got bullied? is this from analysts to analysts or producers to analysts?
One guy was in the SF office and not liked at all. Heard this from two different people in that office.
