Job offer with better comps from another boutique - Should I take the offer?

Before everything else, we're not US based so in case some things I say are quite different from how you'd except, it's probably because of that.

Going 1 year in a boutique IB. Another boutique gave me a job offer, same basic package but way better bonuses, there's a fee-sharing bonus - you get to earn a portion of the fees (albeit not as much as the seniors), analysts get 1% of the total IB fee whereas VP's get 6%. This is on top of performance bonus and company profit-sharing. My current firm only has the latter 2 with no fee sharing.

On the skills development side It's weird but my current boutique firm doesn't do any financial modelling. We do mostly DCM and Prefs for ECM and some secondary M&A deals (that fell apart).

On my current firm, I DO get a lot of client face time which is a great perk but virtually no financial modelling whatsoever, despite the fact that I self-studied financial modelling in anticipation of the job requirements. I usually just do ratio analysis and digging annual reports. The previous IB team in our boutique (different MD and analysts) all did financial modelling before, not sure why my current VP doesn't want to. We have no MD at this point, only a VP.

I am worried that this will bite me back later on when I advance my career to an associate or even senior analyst position in another firm. How can you audit and check financial models of analysts when you yourself barely have any experience in doing models? How did the associates who took the MBA route deal with this?

On this other firm, I saw the models that they did and I was utterly impressed at their skill (intimated even). Did a case work financial model with them and presented it, passed, and had a final interview with the president/owner of the boutique firm. He did say that having client face time and learning client-interaction skills with my current boutique is a nice perk, but he said that I cannot take shortcuts and skip the technical, financial modelling skills altogether, because it's what gives you the technical "savvy" behind your pitches and talks with clients, I do agree with that.

One major concern I have is the probationary period. In my current boutique I've already passed the 6-month probationary period and is considered a permanent / regular employee. I'm worried of having to go through another 6-month probationary period where you are an at-will employee. Once you're a permanent employee, you can only be fired through just cause.
