Job Search - Worth paying premium for Doostang?

Is it worth paying for premium for Doostang?? I see lot of opportunity mainly for candidates for IVY Leagues or solid experience in Finance. I even paid $75 dollars for a specialized portal for only buy or sell side firms, https://secure.careeraccelerator.com.

But all this community and specialized website are very competitive.
It is also true even at WallStreetOasis, the jobs are very competitive. Someone not with strong academic and work-experience and want to work in small boutique firm as junior investment analyst and work for a salary range between 40-60. What is your recommendation for me in this job market. I just need an opportunity. Looking for something with Data Crushing using extensive Excel, Investment research skill sets, and knowledge of Bloomberg or Reuters terminal, and pursuing CFA.

If you are a college senior or unemployed recent grad, do not waste your money on Doostang. Most jobs on Doostang will require at least 6 months to 1 year experience.

I personally know a lot of ppl who find jobs through Doostang, but none of them is a single college senior. It is a great website in general, but probably not a good one for people with little experience.

As an unemployed recent grad myself, where would you recommend I focus my job search efforts?
-- Recent Actuarial Science (good statistical skills) grad looking for entry-level work ANYWHERE. Writing CFA Level 1 in June 2010. Passed 3 actuarial exams.

Hey Ukon or someone:

Someone with my background who has worked in mid-sized yech firm for last 5 years dealing with Accounting, Corporate Finance, Tax and then transitioned into Capital market working at Bloomberg for last 1 year as an consultant role. Currently Unemployment for last 3 months due to the market. I have MBA but not from Top Business school. After my college years I was unable to work in a financial service because I had work visa problem, so I had to work in a Tech sector. After my Green Card, I was transition into working at the Capital Market. My experience at Tech firm was good, but just making the point of emphasis.

Actively, looking for a career transition into Junior Investment Analyst in either Hedge Fund, Asset Management or small boutique investment bank or an advisory role. Salary range between 40-60K, but more important the opportunity to enhance to grow. Currently Studying for my CFA for June 2010 for Level 1.

Is Doostang similar to https://secure.careeraccelerator.com

Recommendation Please

Since most of your skillsets are probably not readily transferrable to any front office role in hedge fund, investment banking and asset management, you will probably find a difficult time even if you are using those jobseeking website that you'll need to pay.

You'll need someone to give you a big push in order to get your resume picked out for an interview. Otherwise, an IB/HF recruiter can easily pick someone with 1 year of solid banking experience over you, who probably has a much longer working experience, but not nearly as relevant.
