I was just wondering how you guys feel about this brand (quality,etc) in regards to an entry level shoe. I know a lot of people like the Allen Edmond's 'Park Ave." so how does this brand compare to them?

Cole Haan and J&M are a step below AE's. If you're going to spend $300 on shoes, buy AE's. If you're going to spend $150 on shoes, buy J&M or Cole Haan.
Would not buy J&M's for $350 - if you're going to spend that $$, buy AE's.
Good shoes and you'll be happy with them. The price is too much though, you can get AE Park Ave for $335 from their website. Look around for some deals

Dude for that sort of money you really want to be getting stitched all leather soles. Glue on soles are the tell tale of a a cheaply constructed shoe that had a paper layer between the in-sole and out-sole which will degrade with 12 or so months
I have a nice pair of brown, Cole Haan loafers that I wear around on the weekends. I got them on sale at nordstrom for $89 and they are a great casual shoe, but not something I would look at buying for anything other than that.
If I were you, I would seriously consider getting a pair of Church's shoes. Yes, they are expensive. However, if you are in NYC go up to their boutique on Madison and check them out. The quality is impeccable and if you take care of them they will last a lifetime. I know that paying $500-700 for a pair of shoes may seem a little excessive at first, but trust me on this one......
My first pair were J&M and they gave me horrible blisters. Tough to break in but fine after a while and I've heard other people complain about that too so just keep it in mind.
Thanks everyone for the great advice. I'm going to return the J&Ms. I found a pair of AE Park Aves online sale for $250 so thats a steal.
